For decades, I’d dreamed of playing Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Every year, between 800,000 and 900,000 music fans pack an 11-day festival of the widest range of bands on the planet. This year, A Flock of Seagulls share the day with Dave Matthews Band (Carter Beauford, ladies and gentlemen!!!), Rick Springfield, Pat Benetar, Greta Van Fleet, The Neighborhood, Wishbone Ash, Edgar Winter Band, Fastball, Great White, Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers, Lynch Mob and Nick Lowe and Los Straitjackets. If that isn’t the craziest pairing of bands, I dunno what is!
Check out the lineup in it’s entirety, and get your tickets booked if you want to be part of the fun!
We had such a great time playing with a whole group of our 80s friends at Microsoft Theater for 80s Weekend 5 in Los Angeles. I personally love playing this song so much! The electronic triggers aren’t coming through too well on this clip, but the energy’s good from this fan-filmed show:
Here’s another angle from the same show:
One of my favorite bucket list items to cross off, I made my first tandem skydive at Skydive Oregon, celebrating my friend Dani Rexine’s birthday. Can’t wait to do that again!
K-EARTH 101’s Totally 80’s Live is back at the Honda Center on January 26th with a totally awesome line-up that will make you want to break out the neon!

A Flock of Seagulls will perform for free at the game’s after-party, held in Armory Park. The Liverpool, England-based band was one of the most popular bands of the new wave era. Their hit “I Ran (So Far Away)” was one of the decade’s most iconic songs — so, too, was singer Mike Score’s unique, long-in-the-front hairstyle.
(C’mon, watch the video. You know you want to.)
A Flock of Seagulls is the second well-known band to play in a bowl-sponsored event that day. Neon Trees will play the game’s tailgate party on the UA mall before the game.
New Mexico State and Utah State will kick off at 3:30 p.m. at Arizona Stadium. The Arizona Bowl will be televised nationally on CBS Sports Network.
